Chalet Sainte Appolonnie (sleeps 6/8)
Sainte Appolonnie is a beautifully finished catered ski chalet, nestled in the historic village of Meribel Les Allues. This traditional village provides a more relaxed alternative to the bustling centre of Meribel. Its medieval buildings and streets provide a perfect backdrop to the chalet.
Travel to the main ski lifts takes 10 minutes by car, or 20 minutes by cable car. A chauffered 9 seater vehicle is provided for your exclusive use, to take you to and from the slopes. A free shuttle bus operates between Les Allues and Meribel. There is also a pisted ski run down to Les Allues when conditions permit.
There is a choice of 4 restaurants, a small supermarket, a card & newspaper shop, post office and ski hire shop, making this chalet ideal for groups and families wishing to experience the unique atmosphere of an alpine ski village and all it has to offer.
The chalet boasts a high level of comfort with its 3 en-suite bedrooms, and an optional double sofa bed. There is also a sauna with adjoining shower room.
The warm and spacious open plan lounge/dining room includes a lovely log fire and sunny South-West facing balcony. It is very well equipped with Satellite TV, DVD, Video and stereo system, and there is plenty of comfortable seating making it the perfect place for relaxing with an après-ski beer or pre-dinner aperitif.
The chalet day begins with a sumptuous full english or continental breakfast, providing the perfect start to a day of skiing or snowboarding! On your return to the chalet, afternoon tea is enjoyed around the warmth of the log fire, complete with freshly baked cakes or biscuits.
Chilled champagne and canapés precede a splendid 4 course evening meal including fine wine, followed by coffee, chocolates and port.
